'A Visual Language,' installed at the Winchester Cultural Center Gallery in Las Vegas, NV from July 5 - Aug 19, 2016 – my second solo art show – explored aesthetics, motifs, and iconography in the spirit of an artifactual and archaic framework (i.e. cave drawings, hieroglyphs, petroglyphs, etc). A majority of the works embodied urban or discarded materials, which created a unique dialogue when placed in an institutional setting such as the Winchester Gallery. The works ranged from paintings, drawings, found objects, sculpture, mural, and installation elements. I developed a language of patterns, color combinations, and symbolism that teetered on the line of historic vs futuristic modes of visual communication and story-telling.
